The Performing Copany
New performing Company Class starting Monday June 21st at 8pm. This is a company repertoire in preparation
for performances and shows. Amateur and professionals welcome. To
audition come to company class or call Emanuel @ 480-559-1299. Cost
$40.00 per month membership.
Performance is an excellent way to solidify everyone’s dancing skills as well as adding new ones. The Company repertoire includes Ballroom and Latin dances, choreographed in a theatrical and stage style.
The Company has performed in many local recitals, fairs, malls, theaters and in local as well as national competitions, receiving many first place awards. One most honored performance was in the Opening of the 1999 Special Olympic Games. Stars like Stevie Wonder, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nadia Comenici, Sugar Ray, and Billy Crystal were also invited. The company closed as non-profit in 2001 and reopened in 2002 as an independent company, for artistic as well as financial reasons. The new Company featured many ballroom couples as well as single dancers, helping the Company to grow it’s Latin and Ballroom repertoire in diversity as well in it’s abilities. The Company relocated to Phoenix in 2009. Emanuel hopes to create a similar performing experience for the new Company dancers. His passion lies in creating choreography and instilling a desire to grow in his dancers, as well as achieving the look of art on stage. Auditions are held at company class at Paragon Dance Center on Mondays at 8 pm.
