There are a few people that have inspired me through time. I would like to send a word of appreciation for their influence and contribution to myself as a Person and as a Dancer.

Darvash Gabriela my ballet teacher in NY City, a direct student of Vaganova a Lady that had a lot to do with my molding and polishing as a dancer, a teacher who did not spare the effort to yell at me and get me on track every time my head got too big. She has also trained and coached many great dancers of our time.

Moisescu Cristian, my English Language teacher who opened the door for me to appreciate good literature and poetry, and to understanding that the measure of a person is not on the material things but on his personal and spiritual achievements.

Magdalena Garlaty, my first dance teacher.

Madam Mimi, my Kindergarten teacher, the person who discovered my talent in the arts, took me under her wing and guided my first steps in the world of art and beauty.

My Family and Friends who learned how to put up with me and my personality.

Madam Trandafir, my literature teacher who supported me and encouraged me in my first steps into the fascinating world of books.

Anthony Sellars, the only retired principal dancer that I saw that could do 7 pirouettes with no worm-up, without wobbling or shaking and end on a dime. The only man that I saw doing triple tours and many a la second turns with lightning speed and end in a attitude demy point. A great teacher and director who has guided my dance career and understanding of great dancing.

A few people whose careers and examples of hard work and dedication have been my inspiration:

Michael Baryshnikov:

He used to say: “Before you get to the stage, there is this boring routine of training, sometimes very boring that you have to do day in and day out, year in and year out, to achieve the technique and skill to be a dancer.”

Rudolph Nuriev said once: “Everything you do must be sprayed with your blood”

Eva Evdokimova, former partner of Nuriev, inspired me through her discipline, perseverance and quality of her work.
